Phu Quoc Weather — Best times for sea activities on the island
The weather information is definitely helpful for those looking for reliable information about Phu Quoc travel and especially particular regard for sea activities such as snorkeling, spearfishing, diving, sailing, kayaking in Phu Quoc.

Heard about Phu Quoc, an island is located in the South of Vietnam in the range of tropical climate, Phu Quoc has two main seasons: Rainy and Dry season. As usual, Dry season lasts from October to the end of April, and the rest of the year is the rainy time. But, recently under the influence of climate change, it is supposed that the effect of the Dry season is getting longer as the number of sunny weather increased. From my experience from April to July you can still find sunny days in the South of Phu Quoc. Especially, in Rainy season or summer is also the time that the sea gets sandy beaches of islands in the An Thoi archipelago accreted, make islands more beautiful on sunny days.
Notice: Prepare a long-sleeve Tshirt or your snorkeling suite instead of using sun-cream to minimize the use of sun-cream which is harmful to corals. OnBird is joining in a campaign named Save Phu Quoc to develop tourism products in accordance with the natural things
Seasonal TRANSITION TIME into DRY SEASON(October — November) — Phu Quoc Weather:
The weather change from Rainy to Dry season: this period is considered the peaceful time on the sea with calm and warm water, very ideal for snorkeling or diving in South Phu Quoc island as at the time Phu Quoc water is still out of reach of Northeast monsoons, the weather will be starting getting better day by day in this period.

The best snorkeling spots in this time:
Half-moon Reef, U-Turn, Coral Mountain, Four season reef, Shallow reef, Table coral kingdom in North Phu Quoc
Cautious: at the beginning of October, the weather in North Phu Quoc is still hard to predict.
DRY SEASON — Northeast monsoon weather (December — April) — Phu Quoc Weather:
Main time to do snorkeling — This is the high time as the water gets cooler under the intense sunshine, during this period we could visit most of the beautiful coral reef around Phu Quoc but sometimes, under the influence of Northeast monsoons, water could get fuzzed which make your snorkeling experience not really good.

Recommendatory Coral Reefs: Half-moon Reef, Coral Mountain, Four Seasons Reef, Table Coral Kingdom.
Other amazing things to do in Phu Quoc: Sunset Kayaking to explore Half-moon Bay
Seasonal TRANSITION TIME into RAINY SEASON— Northeast monsoon weather (May — July) — Phu Quoc Weather:
This is summertime throughout Vietnam and Phu Quoc island even that it is welcoming the incoming rainy season. Under the effect of the incoming rainy season, the weather gets harder to be predicted thereby the number of choices for snorkeling spots is descensive. Furthermore, if you’re seeking some dives then it isn’t worth it at all. Be careful of some diving providers who still offer you services at this time because the water on Phu Quoc island gets influenced by Southwest monsoons. That’s an important thing making the water wavier and almost impossible for divers to approach beautiful reefs such as U-Turn or Half-moon Reef, Table Coral Kingdom… for diving that faces the Southwest.
It seems that the most interesting activity in this seasonal transition time into the rainy season is island hopping. However, don’t set too high expectations on the snorkeling experiences.
The photo below was taken this July you can see Phu Quoc weather in the summertime not like what you think about the rainy season.

Another notice you should bear in mind is that this is a very touristy time at every corner on the island too as the summer holiday is the main holiday for Vietnamese households, Vietnamese family travel as a whole family is often seen during this time.
Recommendatory Coral Reef: Coral Mountain, Shallow reef.
